The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has asked Reliance Communications (RCOM) to pay Rs 5 million to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to obtain point of interconnection (PoI) in Jharkhand. BSNL had disconnected this PoI owing to non-payment of dues. A TDSAT bench headed by Chairman, Justice S B Sinha, directed RCOM to pay Rs 4 million to BSNL within two days to get reconnected. So far, RCOM has already paid Rs 1 million. TDSAT has set October 19, 2010 as the date for further hearing on this issue.
