In continuation of the Reliance Infratel-S Tel issue, the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has issued a notice to the latter over non-payment of dues, say news reports.
It is believed that the tribunal has asked S Tel to respond to the notice by March 14, 2012. Further, the proceedings of a similar case against Etisalat DB will continue simultaneously.
Prior to this, Reliance Infratel had approached TDSAT against Eisalat DB for non-payment of dues and then filed a similar case against S Tel. Both companies had inked an infrastructure leasing pact with Reliance Infratel in 2009.
The company aims to recover over Rs 700 million from S Tel for using its towers and Rs 12 billion from Etisalat DB.
