Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the appointment of Aarthi Subramanian as executive director, president and chief operating officer, for a five-year term effective May 1, 2025. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval.
Currently serving as the group chief digital officer at Tata Sons, Subramanian also holds several key board positions, including directorships at TCS, Tata Capital Limited, Tata AIA Life Insurance Company Ltd, and Infiniti Retail. With a career spanning over 30 years within the Tata Group, Subramanian has held a range of leadership roles. At TCS, she served as executive director and global head of delivery excellence, governance, and compliance, where she oversaw service delivery, governance of large-scale transformation programs, and risk and compliance operations worldwide.
In her earlier role as head of delivery for the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) business unit at TCS, she managed strategic client relationships and focused on driving customer satisfaction through consistent delivery and value creation.
Subramanian holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, and a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas, USA.
In addition, TCS also announced the appointment of Mangesh Sathe as chief strategy officer.
