Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has paid a dividend of Rs 121.3 million to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for the year 2021-22. The dividend cheque was presented to K. Rajaraman, chairman, Digital Communications Commission (DCC) and secretary (Telecommunications), DoT.
TCIL has been a profit-making company since its inception, and has paid a total dividend of Rs 2.79 billion to the government till 2021-22, on the government’s initial investment in equity of Rs 3 million.
TCIL is a mini-Ratna category-I public sector undertaking (PSU) under the DoT. The government holds 100 per cent of its share capital. TCIL has executed projects in over 70 countries across the globe. In 2021-22, the entity achieved standalone revenue and profit after tax of Rs 15.81 billion and Rs 303.3 million, respectively.
