Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has carried out developmental work in parts of Bihar. As part of this, TCIL undertook development work worth Rs 6 million for the provision of basic facilities at Marchi village in Patna.

TCIL has said that it is also setting up an IT training centre in Patna for local youth who may also be employed at one of TCIL’s several international projects in Middle East and African countries.

At present, TCIL is running an e-Network program funded by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to offer tele-education and tele-medicine services in the African continent.

Further, the firm is also converting 134,000 rural post offices into digital banking hubs as part of government’s financial inclusion initiative.
