After Reliance Communications and Aircel, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has taken up the issue of excess spectrum with the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), say news reports.
The operator has asked TDSAT to direct the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to allocate it additional spectrum for its GSM services. TTSL hopes to close this issue before the upcoming spectrum auction.
Prior to this, the operator had asked for additional spectrum on grounds that it was eligible for the same, as it had achieved certain subscriber-linked milestones specified in the telecom licence.
The case will be heard today.
