Tata Technologies has announced the appointment of Ajoyendra Mukherjee and Nivruti Rai, as independent members of its Board of Directors.

Ajoyendra Mukherjee is an industry veteran with deep domain knowledge and experience across the IT/ITES industry. He is associated with several Engineering Colleges in Kolkata as an advisor and serves as Director on the Boards of reputed companies in the public and private sector. Mukherjee superannuated from TCS in April 2019 after heading the Global Human Resources function for TCS for several years. He joined Tata Consultancy Services in 1980, immediately after he graduated from BITS. During his tenure in TCS, he worked in diverse roles and held key leadership positions, including head of India and Middle East & Africa (MEA) business units, head of TCS operations in Eastern India, Country Head of Switzerland and South Africa, Global Head of Energy & Utilities Practice and headed the Global CSR function. In his role as the Head of Global Human Resources function for TCS, he played a key role in scaling up TCS to over 400,000 professionals spread across 50 countries. As a member of the leadership team at TCS, he implemented several initiatives to successfully navigate the company through multiple technology changes including the Digital Transformation journey of TCS and its customers. He played a key role in building a culture of continuous learning and upskilling at TCS that helped the organisation in building a skilled and culturally diverse global workforce relevant to the customer’s changing requirements. Under his leadership, TCS received many HR accolades and awards including the recognition as Top Employer globally for four consecutive years, and earned itself a place in the Global Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for five consecutive years. He has been appointed as a director for a tenor of 3 years and would be the Chairperson of the Audit Committee and Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Nivruti Rai is an industry leader with deep domain knowledge and experience across the product engineering and technology landscape. Rai is designated as vice president, Intel Foundry Services, at Intel Corporation and Country Head of Intel India. Based in Bengaluru, she provides overall engineering and business unit leadership and leads operations for the site, driving innovation, cross-group efficiencies, and execution for engineering teams delivering global products and roadmaps. She joined Intel in 1995 and subsequently worked in the CPU development organisation in Oregon. She moved to India in 2005 to manage the R&D of mobile platform technologies used for handheld and laptop computers. In 2013, her team was awarded an Intel Achievement Award for contributing to the development of the Minute Intel® architecture core. In her previous role as vice president in Intel’s Platform Engineering Group, she led teams across the United States, Costa Rica, Israel, Malaysia, and India charged with developing innovative analogue and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) blocks and IP subsystems for Intel’s system-on-chip pBoardroducts. In 2017, Rai took over the role of GM Data Platforms Group India, leading the development of Data-Centric Platforms and driving business development in India with Cloud Service Providers, Telecom Service Providers, and driving innovation in technologies like AI and 5G. She led teams delivering Platform HW & SW for Intel’s global Autonomous Driving, Server Graphics Platform products. She has joined Intel Foundry Services (IFS) leadership team, driving the IP and Design services. As part of this role, she is responsible for enabling a global IP ecosystem to have best in class IP portfolio for intel Foundry Services and to build a design services practice for IFS customers worldwide. She has been appointed as a director for a tenor of 3 years and would be the Chairperson of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Member of Audit Committee as well as CSR Committee.

This appointment of the new independent directors will strengthen Tata Technologies commitment to talent development and technology-enabled growth, to better serve its employees, customers, shareholders.
