Tata Sons’ chairman N Chandrasekaran has met telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to discuss the issues pertaining to Tata Teleservices Limited’s (TTSL) adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues.

The development comes after differences emerged in the company’s self-assessed AGR calculations and Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) estimates.

According to Tata Group’s self-assessed calculations, its share of AGR dues amounts to Rs 21.97 billion and not Rs 138.23 billion as demanded by the DoT.

Meanwhile, the chairman also met telecom secretary Anshu Prakash.

The meeting comes at a time when the DoT is considering issuing a notice to the Tata Group to justify its side of the calculation.
