Tata Group asserts its share of AGR dues to be Rs 21.97 billion instead of Rs 138.23 billion

According to Tata Group’s self-assessed calculations, its share in the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues is Rs 21.97 billion and not Rs 138.23 billion as demanded by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

The company has reportedly approached the government, stating that since it has already paid Rs 21.97 billion, it does not have to pay anything more to the government.

Following this, DoT is now considering issuing a notice to the Tata Group to justify its side of calculation.
