Tata Electronics has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Taiwan-based Himax Technologies and Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) to produce display semiconductors in Dholera, Gujarat.
The partnership will integrate the companies’ expertise across the semiconductor value chain, covering chip design, fabrication, packaging, and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to provide system-level solutions for both domestic and international markets.
Further through this partnership, Himax aims to contribute its proficiency in display semiconductors and WiseEyeO ultralow power artificial intelligence (AI) sensing to support India’s ‘Made in India’ initiative while strengthening global supply chain resilience.
