Tata Communications is reportedly looking to pick up 5.76 per cent stake in Green Infra Wind Generation Limited. This is, however, subject to approval by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

It is believed that Tata Communications has already pumped in close to Rs 0.78 million in the company for a 9.75 per cent stake.

The company’s board has approved buying up to 15 per cent stake in Green Infra Wind Farms Limited.

As per the current proposal, Tata Communications plans to buy 10 million units of power from the company.

This is the second contract the company has with Green Infra Wind Generation Limited. Prior to this, Tata Communications had inked an agreement to procure 13 million units.
