Tata Communications has announced that it has deployed its solutions to support Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) nationwide rollout of embedded SIM (eSIM) services.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Tata Communications Collaboration Services Private Limited (TCCSPL), the company has provided its GSMA-accredited eSIM subscription management platform, Tata Communications MOVE. The platform will enable BSNL to manage eSIM provisioning for millions of mobile subscribers across India.
According to a joint statement, the launch of BSNL’s eSIM services will enhance customer experience and strengthen mobile connectivity in the country by offering greater convenience, flexibility, and security.
Powered by Tata Communications MOVE, BSNL eSIMs will allow remote provisioning of 2G, 3G, and 4G connectivity through a secure QR code. Customers with dual-SIM supported devices will be able to use an eSIM alongside a physical SIM, including the option to connect securely with local operators when travelling abroad.
