
Tata Communications has posted a 24.5 per cent increase in its revenue from Rs 32.97 billion during quarter-ended June 30, 2011 to Rs 41.07 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2012.
It has reduced its net loss from Rs 2.15 billion in the quarter ended June 30, 2011to Rs 1.42 billion for the corresponding period this year. The company?s revenue from its South Africa-based entity, Neotel stands at Rs 4.58 billion for the quarter under consideration. Neotel?s revenue has led to a positive currency impact of about $13 million to Tata Communications? top line.
The company?s global voice services registered an increase in voice minutes from 13.6 billion minutes during quarter ended June 30, 2011 to 15.8 billion voice minutes in the corresponding quarter in 2012.
Tata Communications? is currently looking at expanding its operations in international markets such as South-East Asia, Vietnam and Philippines.
