Tata Communications has collaborated with Microsoft to work on the development of connected car applications.
Through this partnership, Tata Communications will leverage its IoT connectivity-enabling MOVE platform along with Microsoft’s Connected Vehicle platform to enable automotive manufacturers to offer consumers secure driving experiences.
Collectively, the two platforms will address challenges faced while creating vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications. Such challenges include data security concerns around in-vehicle systems as well as their safety; scalability, interoperability and effective management across connected cars ecosystem.
Going forward, Tata Communications will work towards building a proof-of-concept solution that will integrate the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform with its MOVE platform to display capabilities to automotive manufacturers.
