Tata Communications has appointed Amur Swaminathan Lakshminarayanan as managing director (MD) and CEO. He takes over Vinod Kumar who resigned from the company recently. Lakshminarayanan is currently president and CEO, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS),  Japan. At TCS, he has served in a broad range of leadership roles across regions and industries. According to Tata Communications, Lakshminarayanan’s appointment is subject to necessary regulatory approvals.
