Taiwanese Wi-Max licence holder VMAX Telecom has selected Samsung to provide base stations, network access gateways and related equipment for the initial part of its Wi-Max network rollout in the north of the country.

Taiwanese Wi-Max licence holder VMAX Telecom has selected Samsung to provide base stations, network access gateways and related equipment for the initial part of its Wi-Max network rollout in the north of the country. The contract is for 200 base stations and related equipment and is valued at TWD400 million to TWD500 million. Vmax Telecom plans to spend up to TWD2 billion on its network deployment.
