The government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the establishment of a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility by Syrma Strategic Electronics Private Limited (SSEPL) with an investment of Rs 10.76 billion at Menakuru village, near Naidupeta, in Tirupati district.
The SSEPL facility will be India’s largest PCB manufacturing unit and the first to be launched under the newly introduced Electronics Components Manufacturing and Supply (ECMS) Policy (2025-30).
As part of the incentives, the government will provide SSEPL with 12.56 acres of land at a 75 per cent subsidised cost, allotted by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), subject to clearance from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The unit will produce single-layer, multi-layer, HDI, and flexible PCBs, components that are essential in consumer electronics, automotive, telecom, and renewable energy sectors. It is expected to help reduce India’s dependence on PCB imports, long regarded as a significant gap in the electronics value chain.
In addition, the state government has approved two further proposals from the Syrma Group. One is a Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) facility to be set up by Syrma Components Private Limited. with an investment of Rs 4.17 billion. For this, 10 acres of land at Menakuru village will be provided at a 75 per cent subsidised cost.
The other is an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) facility to be developed by Syrma SGS Technology Limited with an investment of Rs 1 billion. This project will receive 4.14 acres of land under the Andhra Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy 4.0 (2024–29).
The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) gave its approval to these projects at its meeting on 28 August, based on recommendations made by the State Investment Promotion Committee.
