Syniverse will power Vodafone India?s messaging hub and route international SMS messages into India, aligning message delivery with the mobile number portability.
As part of the agreement between Syniverse and Vodafone India, Syniverse, will be providing the core functionality to the hub, including message routing along with advanced online reporting and invoicing platform. The messages will be delivered via Vodafone India?s network.
Commenting on the tie-up with Syniverse for routing of international SMS messages into India, Naveen Chopra, director, Business Services, Vodafone India, said ?We look forward to launching this new messaging offering that will help mobile users worldwide seamlessly connect to users in India.?
The hub will ensure messages sent from international users are delivered to their contacts in India, complying with all regulations from the India?s Department of Telecommunications and Telecoms Regulatory Authority of India for SMS routing into the country.
