The Supreme Court (SC) will hear review petitions filed by telcos against its verdict on the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) today.
The hearing will be conducted in closed chambers at 1:50 pm, although Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea had requested for an open court hearing.
The review petitions will be heard by the same three-judge bench led by Justice Arun Mishra, which had delivered the October 24, 2019 order that backed the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). The other two members on the bench are Justice A.A. Nazeer and Justice M.R. Shah.
The companies have to pay pending AGR dues to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) by January 23, 2020.
