
The Supreme Court has decided to hear issues related to 2G licence case every Thursday, say news reports.
The Supreme Court has taken this decision to fast-track matters related to 2G licences. The court has a number of cases pertaining to limited auction of spectrum in the forthcoming 2G spectrum auction.
Operators like Idea Cellular and Aircel have approached the Supreme Court opposing different guidelines issued by the government for the forthcoming 2G spectrum auction.
The Supreme Court has to also look into reports on 2G spectrum case which it received from the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax Department.
The Supreme Court has directed the registrar to inform CBI, ED and the Income Tax Department to be present before the court every Thursday for the proceedings related to the 2G spectrum case.
