The Supreme Court (SC) will continue its hearing in the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) case on July 20, 2020.

In the next hearing, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and telcos need to present a payment roadmap before the SC.

According to industry sources, the DoT is pushing the telcos to make some upfront payment towards their balance AGR dues, before being allowed to stagger the rest over several years.

On June 18, 2020, the SC had adjourned the case till the third week of July 2020, asking Vodafone Idea Limited, Bharti Airtel and Tata Teleservice to furnish financial statements and books of accounts of last 10 years to ascertain the firms’ capability to clear AGR related dues.
