Subsea cable operator Fibre Links Around the Globe (FLAG) is preparing to launch a new route connecting Chennai to Singapore this month. The route was undergoing final readiness and operational acceptance activities last month.
FLAG currently operates a separate route from Mumbai to Singapore, which was launched in July 2025. The company, formerly known as Global Cloud Xchange, rebranded to FLAG in April 2025. It offers capacity on the FA-1, HAWK, Falcon, MEDEX, FEA, IEX and FNAL cable systems, and operates or offers capacity at cable landing stations in Taiwan, Japan, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. FLAG also provides modular data centre services.
