ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) India has started construction of its edge data centre facility in Jaipur, India.
According to the company, the facility will span 165,000 sq ft on a 1.47-acre site, providing 6MW of IT capacity. The company added the facility will be built to host artificial intelligence (AI) workloads.
The project is the company’s first edge deployment, with further deployments planned for India’s secondary markets. Recently, the company also broke ground on two facilities in Mumbai, India.
Furthermore, the operator currently has 28 data centres across 10 cities in India, with a capacity of more than 318 MW.
