Sterlite Tech has appointed Ayush Sharma as head, Programmable Networking and Intelli­gence.  He will drive business growth by leveraging open innovation and customer-centric research and development (R&D). He will also be Sterlite’s representative in the Telecommuni­cations Standards Development Society of India (TSDSI) governing council. Sharma joins Sterlite from Reliance Jio, where he served as senior vice-president (VP) of engineering and technology. In the past, he has also with Huawei and Ericsson. Meanwhile, Sterlite has appointed Rajesh Gangadhar as head of Wireless Broadband Converged Plat­forms. He will lead disruptive wireless technologies for last-mile connectivity as a new business initiative. Gangadhar joins Sterlite Tech after doing stints with Cable Labs, Charter Communications, Clearwire Corporation, Sprint and Nextel Communications.
