Sterlite Tech has appointed Ayush Sharma as head, Programmable Networking and Intelligence. He will drive business growth by leveraging open innovation and customer-centric research and development (R&D). He will also be Sterlite’s representative in the Telecommunications Standards Development Society of India (TSDSI) governing council. Sharma joins Sterlite from Reliance Jio, where he served as senior vice-president (VP) of engineering and technology. In the past, he has also with Huawei and Ericsson. Meanwhile, Sterlite has appointed Rajesh Gangadhar as head of Wireless Broadband Converged Platforms. He will lead disruptive wireless technologies for last-mile connectivity as a new business initiative. Gangadhar joins Sterlite Tech after doing stints with Cable Labs, Charter Communications, Clearwire Corporation, Sprint and Nextel Communications.
