Starlink has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with the government of Maharashtra. The company is currently in the process of securing regulatory clearances from the government of India. Once operational, Starlink will join Eutelsat OneWeb and Jio SES in delivering high-speed satellite broadband services across India. The initiative aims to extend connectivity to regions in the state that have remained underserved due to the absence of fibre infrastructure.

Additionally, after the required approvals and licenses are obtained, the partnership will move into the implementation phase. Starlink plans to primarily target the business-to-business (B2B) segment, while also placing focus on expanding services in the business-to-consumer (B2C) market.
