Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited has partnered with Common Services Centres (CSC), under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), to provide over 0.5 million CSCs access to a select range of Star Health insurance products.

According to the company, the products have been designed to meet the requirements of rural customers across the tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and rural markets across India. The CSCs will provide a host of special features to rural customers including several e-services through a single-delivery platform, localised help-desk support, and sustainability for village-level entrepreneurs through a maximum commission sharing model of operation.

The collaboration aims to increase health insurance penetration in rural India. At the same time, the added distribution network will help Star Health expand its market share and strengthen its presence across the country.
