
Spice, which manufactures low-cost mobile handsets in Noida, is in the process of setting up a mobile manufacturing facility at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. With this, it hopes to corner 10 per cent market share by 2009. The company will reportedly go in for an IPO to part-finance the venture. At present, Spice outsources chips technology for its mobile sets from Taiwanese firm Mediatek, based in Noida.
