Revenue from spectrum fees has increased 44.25 per cent, from Rs 20.9 billion in 2006-07 to Rs 30.15 billion in 2007-08. The sector now has 134 private licensees offering mobile services to a user base of 208.4 million with a total investment of Rs 950 billion (as of February 2008). The sector received a total FDI of Rs 166.91 billion from August 1991 to March 2007, constituting 7.19 per cent of the total FDI into India.
