Spectra is deploying an end-to-end solution to its core network in Delhi-NCR to scale its network capacity by 10 times, with the option to further upgrade up to 100 times in the future. According to the company, the solution, which is based on the Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) open optical and packet transport (OOPT) disaggregated cell site gateways (DCSG) and Cassini platforms, is being deployed in Delhi-NCR as part of the countrywide IP network upgrade.
The company added that the solution runs on edgecore whiteboxes designed to be DCSG and Cassini specification compliant and provides feature-rich disaggregated functionalities implemented by IP Infusion’s open compute network operation system (OcNOS). DCSG and Cassini will enable it to cost-effectively roll out region-wide high-speed network services at scale while building vendor-neutral, disaggregated connectivity networks.
