South Korea’s cellular operator KT Freetel has been approached by Taiwan’s Vibo Telecom over the possibility of the former acquiring a stake in the Taiwanese mobile service provider. Vibo Telecom is a pure 3G player which launched a W-CDMA network in December 2005 and has approximately 650,000 subscribers.
Reportedly, Hong Kong’s Hutchison Whampoa also intends to buy a stake in Vibo.
