
South Korean telecom service provider SK Telecom is planning to launch a national HSDPA network in March 2007, three months ahead of schedule. It also plans to launch nationwide service of the 3.5G network in March. SK Telecom has invested $1.9 billion in building the network since 2003 and plans to spend an additional KRW600 billion this year. SK Telecom will introduce handsets tailored to the HSDPA service in May.
