South Korea and North Korea have agreed to set up cross-border telephone lines to the Kaesong Industrial Complex, situated just north of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). KT, South Korea’s largest fixed line carrier, has reached an agreement on the telephone lines, which will be the first private telecom gateway through the DMZ in about 50 years.
