Sony has launched the Xperia Z device at the Consumer Electronic Show 2012.
The smartphone has a 5 inch screen and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm snapdragon S4 quad core processor. The Xperia Z functions on the Android-based 4.1 jelly bean operating system and supports dual cameras (a 13.1 megapixel rear camera and a 2.2 megapixel front camera).
It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The Xperia Z is expected to be available in the market in the first quarter of 2013.
