
Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has said it has increased stake in Bharti Airtel to 32.15 per cent, after purchasing shares worth Rs 1.36 billion from the open market. Thereafter, SingTel?s stake in Bharti Airtel has increased to 32.15 per cent from 32.04 per cent.
SingTel, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Viridian Limited, purchased 4.07 million of Bharti Airtel shares, SingTel said in a regulatory filing to the Singapore Stock Exchange.
The company added that the purchase consideration was determined by Bharti Airtel?s prevailing market price on the relevant stock exchange. SingTel is the single largest foreign investor in Bharti Airtel
