SiliconAuto, a Foxconn and Stellantis joint venture, has established a research and development (R&D) centre in Bengaluru, focusing on semiconductor product design and system-on-chip development for the automotive sector.
This R&D centre is expected to enhance the company’s innovative capabilities in creating advanced automotive technologies and solutions, particularly for Stellantis. Foxconn is also in the process of setting up an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant and plans to establish a battery manufacturing unit for electric vehicles.
Additionally, the centre will concentrate on developing next-generation semiconductor solutions for electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and connected car technologies.
