Unitech has reportedly questioned Telenor?s decision to permit Sigve Brekke to retain his position as managing director, Uninor, despite failing to obtain security clearance.
According to the rules specified for telecom companies, foreigners holding top positions are required to obtain security clearances every year. It is believed that Brekke had applied for the clearance in November, 2011, but has not obtained the approval so far.
