Sify Infinit Spaces and Jackson Limited have reportedly announced investments of Rs 17.57 billion for developing data centres near the upcoming Noida International Airport. Two five-acre industrial land parcels have been allotted to the two companies for the development of data centres in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s (YEIDA) Sector 28, close to the airport. The facilities are expected to generate 775 job opportunities.
In February 2023, Sify had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Uttar Pradesh at the state’s global investor summit. On the basis of this MoU, Sify applied for the YEIDA scheme.
Meanwhile, Adani Group has been allotted two land parcels in Noida. The company has proposed an investment of over Rs 74 billion and jobs for over 3,700 people.
