Sidharth Agrawal is currently serving as the Managing Director of Systematic Industries. With an unwavering commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability, he continues to drive the Systematic Group towards new frontiers in the telecom and power transmission sectors.
Recognising the rapid evolution of the optical fibre and cable industry, Agrawal is focused on strengthening Systematic’s presence in the optical fibre and optical ground wire (OPGW) cable segments. “In line with Viksit Bharat’s vision, we believe there are immense opportunities today, and success depends on having the right mindset and a strong, motivated team to capitalise on them,” he states. International expansion is another key area of focus. With the increasing demand for high speed connectivity, renewable energy solutions and advanced power transmission infrastructure, he is keen on taking the Systematic Group to new global markets while continuing to support India’s growing infrastructure landscape.
Agrawal’s leadership style is rooted in empowerment, mentorship and fostering a culture of leading by example, setting high standards and providing his team with the autonomy to execute their ideas. When quizzed about the key trends shaping the telecom sector, he replies, “The telecom sector is undergoing a massive transformation, with the rapid expansion of 5G networks, increasing demand for fibre-to-the-home connectivity, and the rising adoption of IoT and smart devices. As data consumption continues to soar, high-speed, low-latency networks are becoming essential, driving a surge in demand for optical fibre cables and OPGW solutions.” Additionally, the explosive growth of data centres and cloud applications is fuelling the need for high-capacity fibre optic networks.
Agrawal holds an MBA from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, where he gained expertise in business strategy, finance and operations. His career began as a management trainee at Sterlite Industries, where he honed his understanding of the manufacturing and telecom sectors.
Despite his demanding schedule, Agrawal deeply values his family. He finds balance and inspiration in the time spent with his wife, their two sons and his extended family. Residing with his parents, he cherishes the bonds and shared experiences that ground him amidst his professional commitments.
