Dr Subramanian Swamy, National President, Janata Party has termed Kapil Sibal, Minister of Telecommunications and IT?s remarks on the Comptroller and Auditor General of India?s (CAG) report as highly objectionable. Moreover, Swamy said that this was an attempt on Sibal?s part to influence the ongoing investigation of the scam.
Swamy added that the Supreme Court should take note of the contempt of court committed by the Minister, who made statements about the case when the Supreme Court had passed an order directing the CBI to report to it.
He also said he was moving an interlocutory-application in the Supreme Court seeking to restrain Sibal from any further dealing with the files connected with 2G.
