The Delhi High Court has sought a clarification from the Supreme Court on whether to consider a plea filed by Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa in relation to the 2G spectrum issue, according to news reports.
Balwa has questioned allegations by investigators on his links with Dawood Ibrahim.
It is believed that Justice S. Muralidhar said that as the Supreme Court is monitoring the 2G issue, it would be more fitting for him to clarify whether he should take up the matter or not. The issue will now be taken up on March 24, 2011.
Balwa was arrested on February 7, 2011 and is currently in judicial custody.
