Shamik Das has moved to Reliance Communications (RCOM) as joint president and chief operating officer of the operator?s wireless business.
Das is currently the CEO of S Tel, one of the new players who had obtained mobile licences in 2008. He has earlier worked in several senior level positions in Bharti Airtel, where he was the CEO of Airtel South region, group chief financial officer and chief supply chain officer for Bharti Airtel’s mobile and infotel business.
In his new role, Das will report to Syed Safawi, president, wireless business.
