SentinelOne, a US-based cybersecurity company, has announced an investment of $50 million in India.
The company launched its operation centre in Bengaluru on June 15, 2022, to help organisations in the broader region address the increasing threat of cyberattacks. The centre aims to deliver innovation, product development, threat research, and engineering, recruiting top talent to modernise cyber defence. As a key component of the company’s expansion, customer data will be stored in a local data centre.
SentinelOne’s India office currently has a headcount of 100 and plans an expansion of its talent base by 500 over the coming years. Hiring will be focused on talent across engineering, research, sales, marketing, business development, as well as finance, human resources and operations.
The company said that it is building an India-based data centre as well, demonstrating the commitment to helping Indian organisations comply with evolving local data hosting regulations and preferences.
