The Supreme Court has reportedly directed the Centre to submit in the court the regulations on over the top (OTT) platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
SC has stressed that there should be some screening of shows and web series being telecast on these platforms and is thus in favor of regulating the OTT space.
The Centre is required to place the recently framed OTT regulations before the SC by March 06, 2021.
