Samsung Electronics will reportedly receive incentives worth Rs 5 billion under the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for extra production of mobile phones in the year 2020-21.
The company had earlier filed a claim of Rs 9 billion under the PLI scheme for large-scale electronics manufacturing. However, the government had flagged questions and asked the company to review their claim.
According to a Samsung India, the company is now in advanced stage of discussions with the government on the incentive payout.
