Samsung has launched the Galaxy Core Prime VE smartphone in India at a price of Rs 8,600.

The smartphone features a 4.5-inch display with 480x800p resolution and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) operating system. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory, expandable up to 128 GB through micro SD card. It has a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera.

The device has a 2,000 mAh battery and offers dual SIM, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and GPS connectivity options. The smartphone is available in white, grey and silver colour variants.
