Samsung Electronics has introduced a user interface and content in nine regional India languages for smartphone and tablet customers. With this, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati will be supported on the Galaxy Grand, Galaxy S4 and Tab 3 devices.

Moreover, content will be available in regional languages across segments such as entertainment, games, utility, lifestyle, devotional and business. Going forward, the company plans to provide users access to portals such as India property, Times of India, BSE and Mydala in vernacular languages.

Commenting on the rollout, Vineet Taneja, country head, Samsung Mobile and IT, Samsung India, said, ?Availability of content combined with easy access is the key driver for usage of any language. The company clearly senses a need and a demand amongst users to communicate in local languages using their mobile devices. Samsung is developing the ecosystem by working with application developers so that consumers can enjoy their mobile experience in their own language.?
