Samsung Electronics has received nine million pre orders for its third-generation Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone.

The Korea Economic Daily reported that the Galaxy Smartphone has got nine million pre-orders from more than 100 global carriers. Samsung Corporations smartphone factory in South Korea is running at its full capacity of 5 million units per month to meet the increasing demand for Samsung Galaxy S3.

The latest version of Samsung electronics flagship phone was unveiled in early May, 2012. The new smartphone Samsung Galaxy S3 will first go on sale on May 29, 2012 in Germany before being rolled out in other countries.

Initially, the company had plans of launching Galaxy S3 in India as well. However, in an official statement issued as late as April this year, the company announced that as of now it had no plans of launching Galaxy S 3 in India.

Samsung Electronics toppled Apple as the world?s biggest smartphone maker in the first quarter of 2012, helped by its line-up of Galaxy devices running on Google?s free Android software.
