Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy S5 smartphone which functions on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

The smartphone has a 5.1 inch screen and is powered by a 2.5 Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor. The Galaxy S5 packs in 2 GB of RAM and comes in two variants supporting 16 and 32 GB of inbuilt storage. The device supports dual cameras (a 16 megapixel rear and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera).

In addition, the Galaxy S5 supports 4G technology in the 1800 and 2100 MHz bands. It also supports technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Near Field Communication.

The Galaxy S5 is priced between Rs 51,000 and Rs 53,000.

Besides, introducing the Galaxy S5 smartphone, Samsung Electronics has also expanded its wearable devices portfolio by launching the next generation of gear devices – Galaxy Gear 2, Galaxy Gear 2 Neo and Galaxy Gear Fit. The Galaxy Gear 2 is priced at Rs 21,900 and both Galaxy Gear 2 Neo and Galaxy Gear Fit are priced at Rs 15,900 each.
