Samsung has chalked out a plan to consolidate its presence in the Indian handset market.
As per news reports, the company is targeting a growth of 25-30 per cent in this space.
Currently, as per industry estimates, the vendor has 44.7 per cent share in the smartphone segment and 34 per cent market share in the overall handset space.
The company operates through franchisees and has more than 260 smartphone cafes across the country. It has a presence in over 90,000 multi-brand retail outlets in the country.
Going forward, it plans to focus on notebooks and tablet PCs to enhance its presence in India.
