
Russia-based Yota Devices plans to launch its 4G product portfolio comprising of Wi-Fi dongles and routers in the Indian market.
The company is reportedly in talks with operators such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) and Aircel to provide 4G Wi-Fi dongles and routers. At present, Bharti Airtel is already offering 4G services in select few markets, whereas RJIL and Aircel are planning to introduce 4G services.
As per various industry reports, RJIL is currently using Yota Devices? routers and dongles for conducting 4G trials in the 2300 MHz bandwidth in the country. To cater to the requirements of the Indian operators the company plans to launch its long term evolution-time division duplex enabled Wi-Fi dongle, Amber and a portable router – Ruby. The devices are based on Qualcomm and Altair chipsets, respectively.
Besides routers and dongles, Yota Devices also plans to launch an upgraded version of its dual screen equipped YotaPhone which the company currently sells in a number of developed countries.
